Digital Marketing Specialist

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist with proven experience managing and developing digital content across channels, including email campaigns, landing pages, and paid media.
In this role, you will be the digital lead for multiple clients and work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders, such as developers, media teams and client representatives, ensuring the successful launch of digital campaigns.
You should be well-versed in best practices for website, email design and digital advertising to ensure seamless campaign execution. This role involves managing complex projects concurrently and collaborating with various teams such as Client Relationships, Creative and Data. Your strong background in digital development and project management will make you an excellent addition to our Digital Marketing team.
Must Haves
- Minimum of 2+ years relevant experience
- Ability to collaborate effectively, manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines, and excel in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of digital marketing, with expertise in one or more areas: email, webpage, social media, or search marketing, along with a solid understanding of common web technologies
- Experience in managing digital projects and campaigns, including building relationships with third-party partners and bridging communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Working knowledge in marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Luminate, Raiser’s Edge NXT, Fundraise Up, and software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Understanding of analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Looker Studio
- Familiarity with media platforms such as Google, Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest as it pertains to paid advertising
Responsibilities
- Digital Strategy: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define campaign requirements and manage projects from inception through to launch
- Email Campaign Management: Develop and deploy email campaigns using various marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Luminate and Raiser’s Edge NXT
- Landing Page Creation: Build and customize campaign landing pages within content management systems such as WordPress and HubSpot, incorporating integrations with donation platforms such as Fundraise Up and AKA Raisin
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality control checks on emails, landing pages, and digital ads prior to launch
- Tracking and Reporting: Implement necessary UTM tracking parameter to ensure accurate data flow into tools such as Google Analytics and CRMs to enable detailed reporting
- Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor digital campaign performance and identify opportunities for optimization
- Digital Strategy: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define campaign requirements and manage projects from inception through to launch
- Market Research: Conduct research on digital marketing trends and communicate insights to internal teams to inform strategic decisions

Salary Range: The starting salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000, commensurate with experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental and vision care, 3 weeks vacation plus an additional 9.5 Blakely days off (half day Fridays before each long weekend and the office is closed for one week at the end of December each year).
Location: This is a location flexible position. The successful candidate will be able to choose where they do their day-to-day work either from home or the Blakely office, located in Aurora, ON. This position can also be fully remote and is considered remote if you live more than 150 kilometers from the Blakely office. Maintaining a good working relationship is key to success, for non-remote workers, there will be a requirement to come into the office occasionally for meetings and meet in person with clients as the role requires. For remote workers, there will be a requirement to come to the Blakely office for in-person meetings approximately 4-6 times per calendar year and occasional travel for in person client meetings dependent on the client and Blakely needs, with reimbursement for travel based on Blakely’s policy.
